This holiday season, WOM United brought the magic of the holidays to life with our heartwarming event, Winter Wonderland. Designed to uplift families in need, this gathering was more than just a celebration—it was a testament to the power of community, generosity, and togetherness.


With invaluable support from Best Starts for Kids from King County and Toys for Tots, Winter Wonderland became a beacon of hope and joy for many. Their generous funding and contributions enabled us to distribute toys to countless children, ensuring they felt the holiday magic.


Families came together to share warm bowls of chili, savor delicious snacks, and most importantly, enjoy a safe and welcoming space to celebrate the season. The smiles on children’s faces and the heartfelt gratitude from families reminded us of the impact such events can have.


Winter Wonderland wasn’t just about handing out toys—it was about building community, spreading joy, and offering support during a time of year that can be difficult for so many.


As we reflect on the success of Winter Wonderland, we are filled with gratitude for our partners, volunteers, and the families who joined us. Together, we made the holidays brighter and proved the power of coming together as a community.

Elders' Listening Session

Skyway Community Elders: Join the Listening Session Shaping Your New Community Center King County Library System, King County Parks and Recreation, and Women United invite Skyway elders to share their voice on Friday, August 7th. If you're a Skyway community elder, your feedback is about to help shape something lasting: the new Skyway Community Center. On Friday, August 7th, from 4:00–6:00 PM , King County Library System is partnering with King County Parks and Recreation and Women United to host a Listening Session for Skyway Community Elders at the Skyway Resource Center. What Is the Listening Session? This is a facilitated, in-person conversation designed specifically for elders in the Skyway community. It's an opportunity to share your feedback, needs, and vision directly with the organizations planning new programs, events, and the future Skyway Community Center. Community input is at the center of this project — literally. The goal is to make sure the voices of longtime Skyway residents and elders help guide how this space is designed and used for years to come. Dinner will be provided, so come hungry and ready to talk. Spring Into Giving: Supporting Hope's Closet

Hey there, family! Can you feel that? The air is getting a little warmer, the flowers are starting to show off in Skyway, and there is a beautiful sense of renewal all around us. Here at Women United, springtime doesn’t just mean cleaning out the garage; it means Springing into Giving. As we move into May 2026, we have some big things on the horizon. We are gearing up for GiveBig, Washington’s massive 48-hour online giving event, and we are focusing every ounce of our energy on two things very close to our hearts: Hope’s Community Closet and our Kinship Caregiver Appreciation initiatives.
